Spongebob Globs of doom wii game. How do I set it up for two player.?

We have hit the + button like it said and it still puts it on one player. Please help kids are fightingSpongebob Globs of doom wii game. How do I set it up for two player.?
Maybe youve already tried this but on the other wii remote that isnt being used press + on that to add second player into the game, and - to remove them again. You might be pressing + on the first wii remote. :)
